These 3-ingredient biscuits are absolutely delicious, and they have the perfect texture. They are easy to make and are a crowd-pleaser at my family gatherings.

3-Ingredient Biscuits

With just three ingredients, you can make fluffy, delicious biscuits that will rival those made at your local restaurants.

  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 1/4 cups heavy whipping cream ((plus extra whipping cream for brushing the biscuit tops))
  • 2 tbsp butter (completely optional)
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine self-rising flour and heavy whipping cream. Stir just until the dough comes together. The dough should be very sticky.

  3. Turn out the dough onto a flat, floured surface. With floured hands gently fold the dough over onto itself approximately 5 times (to yield a flaky biscuit texture).

  4. Dust a rolling pin with flour and use the pin to roll out the dough into about a 3/4-inch thick round. Cut out the biscuits with a 2-inch biscuit cutter, a 1/3 cup measuring cup, or a small glass. Remember to press straight down into the dough. Avoid turning the biscuit cutter. Place the biscuits side by side (allowing them to touch) on a non-stick baking sheet.

  5. Reform the scrap dough and form additional biscuits using the instructions listed above. Handle the scrap dough as gently as possible. Lightly brush the tops of the biscuits with heavy whipping cream. This will assist them with browning.

  6. Bake the biscuits for 15-20 minutes, or until they are tall and golden brown on top.

  7. When the biscuits are just done, you may brush the tops with butter for added flavor. This step is completely optional.
